Training sessions are tailored to the strengths and weaknesses of each individual.  The main components of training include:

  • breaking down fundamentals
  • honing skills at game-speed
  • improving strength and conditioning
  • building mental acuity

Athletes can expect to get in hundreds of reps, accompanied by personal feedback they can take home to work on. Training involves so much more than practicing moves around a cone. It is my intent to help athletes be coachable, develop positive self-talk, play through their mistakes, and to enjoy the process of self-improvement!

Basketball is much more than skills, drills, games, winning and losing. The game can be an incredible vessel for the development of individuals and teams in teaching the value of hard work, dedication, sacrifice, unselfishness, dealing with adversity, and the list goes on. It is my vision that the athletes I train not only become the best they can be ON the court/field, but more importantly the best person they can be OFF the court in our community. If you are willing to work through your mistakes, be coachable, and work as hard as you ever have, then it’s time to Grow Your Game with Tyler Amaya Training!
